Search entries
A name, county, state, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search. Wayne County Released Inmates does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider's policy and terms control its handling of the request.
Messages
An email or contact-form message may be kept for as long as needed to answer it and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless doing so is required by law or a valid legal demand.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Normal web operations can produce technical records each time a page loads. These records may include:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may help measure how visitors use the site. Browser settings can reject or remove them, although some functions may then behave differently or work less well.

Collected data supports ordinary site operations and service delivery. It may be used to:

Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across different websites and select targeted advertisements. Any such tracking occurs on those providers' systems, not as a data set maintained by this site.

- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Data Security Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No website, network, or storage method is completely secure. Wayne County Released Inmates cannot promise that an intrusion, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the nature of the information held, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data maintained about them
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete data that no longer needs to be retained
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Requests may require enough detail to locate the data and confirm the requester's identity. This policy does not control records held by the Wayne County Sheriff, TDOC, courts, VINELink, or another outside service. Rights concerning those records must be directed to their custodian.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as practices, vendors, or legal requirements change. An updated version takes effect when it is posted here with a new effective date.
